We apply EMI shielding to domes and windows, which provides an optimal balance between optical transmission and RF shielding.
EMI shielding protects critical infrared, multi-spectral, and visible navigation, targeting, reconnaissance, and surveillance equipment. Our capability to manufacture EMI-shielding layers meets the requirements for shielding efficiency, diffraction effects, and optical transmission.
Capabilities
- Patterns can be applied to multiple faces of either plano or curved surfaces
- Programming resources to develop rectilinear, hub-and-spoke, or other grid types
- Metalizing recipes tailored to meet specific resistive or conductive electrical requirements
- Small line widths (5 µm) over large areas (300 mm x 300 mm or greater)
- 100% inspection to meet defect criteria with automated microscope
Substrate materials can include
- Sapphire
- ZnS, ZnSe, Multispectrals
- Germanium
- Alon, Spinel
- Fused Silica
We have the manufacturing capability to cost-effectively produce EMI-shielded windows for any of the three protective configurations: angle-of-incidence and wavelength ranges, diffracted energy, and frequency ranges.
